Starting Therapy

Reaching out to a counsellor for the first time can feel like a big step. My aim is to make the process as straightforward and comfortable as possible, so here's what you can expect.

You can contact me by email, telephone or by using the contact form. Whether you're ready to arrange an initial conversation or simply have a question, you're very welcome to get in touch in whichever way suits you. I'll usually reply within 24 hours.

Initial Conversation

Our first conversation usually takes place by telephone or Zoom and lasts around 15 minutes. It's completely free and is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, for you to ask any questions and to decide whether working together feels right. There is no obligation to book sessions afterwards.

First Session

Starting therapy can feel daunting, and it's completely normal to feel nervous before your first session. We'll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. There is no expectation to know where to start or to have everything worked out. We simply begin with whatever has brought you here.
